| Transcript | To Haliday & Dunbar, Liverpool 10 May 1756 Gentlemen: Annexed you have Copy of my last to you by Captain Livingston to which please be refered. I am now favoured with yours of the 8th December & 23rd February & observe their contents. Your Letter of the 23rd January is not yet come to I sincearly wish you all the Success in your Partnership you can desire. I am glad to hear my Brother is safe arrived with you & that you would dispatch him soon, but I suppose he has met the common Fate of being stoped by an Embargo we have an account of here [thai] was laid on in England 4th March. Its well the Bills Byard indorsed was paid. I dont believe he will pay the charges of Protest. I am glad you have not shiped the Guns as they cost too much. Mr. Thomas Greg of Belfast & me Entered into Partnership in the trade carried on here the 1st Instant. The Firm of our House is annexed. I can't help returning your Mr. W:H thanks for his assiduity for my Interest when alone & hopes for the continuance of you favours to us. You may depend nothing in our power to promote our mutual Interest shall be wanting. Mr. Haliday affair with Messrs. Aspenwale & Doughty is going on as when I last advised I must beg you’l always advise the price of goods when you write.
