| Transcript | Belfast July 30th 1841. Sir, I have received a notification from the Secretary to the Lord Chancellor, that his Lordship has been pleased to appoint me a magistrate for the County of Antrim. At the present I am a practising Barrister on the North East Circuit; and I trust that there will be no objection to my continuing my practice at the Bar, along with holding the [Coun-ipi--?] of the Peace, upon the understanding that I shall not appear as counsel in any criminal court in the County for which I am appointed. I am, Sir, Your very Obedient Servant W.J. Campbell Allen. The Rt. Hon. The Attorney General |
