| Transcript | Frankford April 2nd 1823 Dear sir, Sometime ago, I sent a letter to brother John from whom I received no answer, & readily anticipating that he was not in New york, or had not Got any intelligence from me. I enclose you a few lines, hoping you will be so kind as to answer them immediately & let me know what he is doing or if yet in the city, In my letter I advised him not to Go back to the British dominions: as it might be attended with considerable danger: he stated in his letter that he had determined on returning again which I fondly hope he has not done I am in good health at present thanks be to the almighty benefactor for his mercies, hoping these lines will find you and [all?] my friends enjoying the same benediction the Winter has been very severe in general; & great injury sustained by fires in the City: if at any time you should hear of a place worth my attention: you would confer a favour in letting me know: I have some prospect of removing to Ge[rmna?]stown 5 miles distant; I have nothing particular at present to add: but desiring to be remembered to Mr & Mrs Kennedy, I subscribe my self yours truly Robert P McLorg P S When you write, direct to the care of Mr Edmund McVaugh: Postmaster Frankford Pennsylvania |
