| Transcript | Dear Matty, New York 11 Jan 1790 Annexed is Copy of what I wrote you the 6 Inst. & now inclose [enclose?] you bill Lading for two barels [barrels?] apples one box containing five Potts [Pots?] of Peppers & Peaches & a paper of Jerusalim [Jerusalem?] Cherrys [Cherries?] to plant in Flower [Pots?] or Boxes likewise a bundle containing 8 Mariston Peppers 8 Spitzenburg Apple [Trees?] [&?] [too?] 8 [Virgaliece?] Pear trees the later bears the finest fruit I have ever met with, [-?] the Brig.t [Brigantine?] Susannah Capt Thos [Thomas?] Durry which I hope will goe [go?] safe. On arrival send one barrel of the apples one Pott [Pot?] Peppers & one of the preserved Peaches to Mr Isaac, I have wrote him a few lines by this Vessel that you would get James Finlay to put the Trees in a good a spot We have had the most moderate Winter here that has been since I came into the Country hitherto Capt Durry promises me to deliver them immediatly [immediately?] on his arrival his Month here having [particularly?] recommended it to him, It seems he is the Son of [John?] Durry the same Johnston who had our Shop many years ago I understand she is married again & now in Ireland &c Capt Durry [with?] [love?] &c &c |
