| Transcript | Dear Matty New York 21 Jany 89 Since writing you the 27 [th?] [?] past the later by Mr Baillie Mr Sadlers partner I remain without hearing from you the Novr [November?] pacquet being not yet arrived This goes by the St James Capt Collins & inclosed [enclosed?] you have bill of Lading for two barrels of Aples [apples?] [Keg?] Peppers & one of Preserved Peaches, youl [you will?] send one of the first to [Mr?] [Isaac?] & [part?] of the Peppers, as I writ [wrote?] him you would. The Hams I am geting [getting?] prepared by David Johnson Esqr. whom you sent the directions to for [Curing?] Beef I have not a doubt of [them?] being good they shall be sent very first opp y [opportunity?] after they are ready I have sent you also a small box of the Seeds Spritzenburg Aples [apples?] with the Capt. the articles Mr Wade [dispirtes] are left to March & Mr Sadler is preparing the Books as the people with you has put so little Confidence in what I did however they will find my representations In hopes of soon hearing from you [&c?] & Capt.
