| Transcript | Portadown 16 Nov.1853. Dear Joseph, I am in possesion of contents of your favor to Robert Moore and as you think it best to let the [sheetings?] lie over until spring I am content so to do and to give you absolute power to sell when you find opportunity but I must confess to you that I think it strange these goods should be doing so well in the hands of other parties. The three cases I have in hand at home I think I will ship to Australia and then goodbye to any more shipments as my new a/c to any place. Business here is at present owing to the [Eastern?] Question and other matters very dull and I fear we are going to have one of those monetary crisis so disastrous in the annals of Mercantile life. I will make out for you someday soon a statement of your [Tandragee?] property. Meantime I wish you and Robert would come to some agreement about it- In haste. Your affectionate [Cousin?] Mr Jos. [Joseph?] M. Seawright William Montgomery Philadelphia. |
