I know no person that wou'd [would?] agree worse with an idle Life than you your health wd. [would?] be lost by it your Genius wou'd [would?] dwindle into a little poet-taster and when the American War ended you wou'd [would?] almost cease to think - from such evils may activety [activity?] of mind and body defend you... The triumph of the few & fears of many begin to decline in regard to the victory's in America - from Dublin we hear that there is little credit given to the various accounts of Washingtons defeat - but I have no pleasure in writting [writing?] you suppositions of what will be certainty before this reaches you ... |
