| Transcript | New York Aug 16/53 Dear Sir, I promised to write to you but I scarcely know what to say. I entered on my new situation the first of July, and for so far like it very much. The weather for the last few days has been very warm - the Palace is not yet finished I have not been to see it Business is not very [quik?] yet but expect it will in eight or ten days I have not heard from Jersey since Robt.
